Step 1
A comprehensive oral examination is done where a scan and/or impressions are taken. These will be sent to the orthodontic laboratory.
Step 2
From the scanned images, a digital set up is performed to determine what adjustments may be required on the existing dentition, if any, and the number of aligners necessary.
Step 3
Composite attachments are bonded to the teeth to locate the aligners and any interproximal adjustments required will be made.
Step 4
Aligner adjustments are generally made every three weeks. Pending the number of aligners required, this will determine the length of the treatment.
Step 5
Removal of the composite attachments and provision of any retainers for ongoing wear at night.
NB – Patient Compliance
The aligners must be worn 24/7 and only removed for eating
