She was born and grew up in the northen suburbs of Cape Town. The family moved to Uitenhage for three years and returned to Cape Town. On the completion of her Matric, Anne-Marí Gericke obtained a National Certificate Private Secretarial at Stellenbosch College. She then joined Santam Bank in their financial and money market department. Subsequently she enrolled at the University of Stellenbosch in oral hygiene and obtained her Dip Oral Hygiene. She aquired her Expanded Function Oral Hygiene Certificates at the University of Western Cape in 2016 and 2017. She got the International Computer Driving License Certificate (ICDL) at the North Link College at Tygerberg Campus in 2013.
Anne-Mari has had excellent opportunities to work at a number of busy specialist practices where she gained valuable experience. She was initially in Patheodent’s full time employment for 21 years, a privilege for her, but over the past number of years has stood in when the practice hygienists went on maternity leave and now still fills a full day session at the practice permanently.
Anne-Mari holds professional registration with the HPCSA and membership with OHASA. She continuously attends courses and CPD events to keep up with new developments. A good client relationship is important to her. She also visited schools to instruct learners of the necessity of good oral health and dental care at an early age. Prevention is better than cure.
When she unloads she enjoys hiking, gym, reading, theatre/art, tapestry.
